Urgent Appeal - Blue Bell Community Hub
We are now, thanks to all our supporters, very close to reopening the doors of the Blue Bell in November 2019.
In late September 2019 we were awarded a grant of just over £59,000. It comes from LEADER and the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) which is part funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and is administered by West Sussex County Council.
This new grant takes our refurbishment fund to the £105,000 mark of our £160,000 target, the target has increased by £10,000 due to unforeseen work needed for the toilets and disabled access to the main entrance. As mentioned previously the refurbishment is split into two Phases, Phase one £120,000 and Phase two, Spring 2020, £40,000. This means we are just £15,000 short of our Phase one target.
If you could see your way to buy a few more shares or make a donation, or encourage those that have not done so, then it would help the Blue Bell Community Hub greatly. To date we have 130 shareholders and 39 donors – just £100 from each supporter would get us to the £15,000 needed for Phase one refurbishment.
The plan is that the shareholding offer will never close as we wish to encourage new members at any time, especially those that move into the area.
Thanks for your support and we look forward to welcoming you to the Blue Bell in the very near future.
