On Sunday 30th June, 2019 the dogs of Cocking converged on the Chicken Shed café – aptly renamed for the day as the “Dog and Scone”.
Not only was fun and merriment had by all, but many of the dogs showed their best sides with some stunning pet portrait photographs being taken by guest photographer Richard Malec.
Local artist James Jarred was also on hand with an in situ art exhibition displaying some of the amazing pet portraits he has completed over the years.
Pet Wellness consultation were also available by resident vet Andrew Mitchell
The dogs present were treated to extra special gourmet ‘doggy’ treats made by Church Lane residents.
Finally the day closed with Cockings answer to Crufts, with the Blue Bell Community Hub Dog Show. The category winners were are as follows:
Musical Sit – “Teddy”
Friendliest Face- “Cookie”
Best Paw Shaker – “Nyla”
Waggiest Tail – “George”
Best in Show – “Nyla”
In addition to all the doggy fun, funds were also raised towards the ongoing refurbishment. Winner winner chicken dinner!
